I have Zorin-lite-17 installed on an old Acer laptop and all is well except there is no "Startup Applications" program in the menu like there is in my 17-Pro version. How can I auto-start an application in the "lite" version when the OS boots up?
See if you have GNOME Tweaks installed, and if not, install it from the software store. It'll have a startup applications tab you can use. Here's a link to the help document on GNOME's site:
They do not have Gnome installed, due to them using Lite:
XFCE includes that application baked into the Desktop.
It is found in Settings > Session & Startup

Ah, right, forgot that lite uses XFCE. Apologies for the bad info.

It happens to us all... I, for one, am notorious for missing a key detail in an O.P., as well.
I have a permanent dent in my forehead from all of my facepalms.
Thank you for the feedback. While the Session & Startup app isn't quite as straight forward as the new app in 17-Pro, I figured it out and am good to go.
