Hi and welcome.
First let's deal with wifi. As a temporary workaround I suggest you tether your smartphone to the Chromebook in order to see if you can get the correct drivers.
One generic answer I have found is to make sure airplane mode is switched off.
See if anything here helps:

With regard to no sound you will need to be connected to the internet:

Can you please tell us the brand and modell of your computer? Do you mean ACER?
Welcome to the Forum!
Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in BIOS disabled? To have temporarly Acess to the Internet, I would suggest the same that @swarfendor437 already did:
When it runs with You Smartphone update Your System and check the ''Additional Drivers'' Tab in Software & Updates if there is a Driver offered.
Also: Post the Output of the Terminal Command sudo lshw -C network please so we can have more Details about Your Network Hardware.
For Your Sound: I guess because of Your Request, You don't have Sound at all, right? Does it work when You connect external Devices like Speakers or Headphones?
