Not seeing some external hdd mounted

If I attach all my external hard drives to Windows 10 on a different computer, all are accessible.

When I attach some of the same external drives to the computer with Zorin 18.1; they are not mounted; I checked launch Disks.

Those disks have on data.

How to I solve this with Zorin. I am a new convert.

select the disk..then the little arrow to mount the disk partition
if there are multiple partitions you must select each one then the arrow to mount

This was a long wait before it mounted. That is one of the drives with data on it.

With another drive, it does not even light up.

Hmm ... at least it sees the Drive. But it doesn't get any Infos about it. How are the Drives formatted? Are tehy connected directly with a Cable or over a HUB?

I have solved the problem.

All my external drive were connected to the front of my old desktop computer, which has 2 white USB ports, but those external hdds have blue connectors.

I placed those external hdd, which were not mounted or taking long to mount, to the back of the cpu, where the usb ports are blue. Those drives were mounted instantly and the data read.

What a little effort can achieve.

Thanks community for your inspiration.

Here reminds me of the movie: Matrix. Most people are so wired to Microsoft and Windows that they don't want to disconnect.
I will never throw away my old working computer. Never, when they are alternatives.

Welcome to the new reality.

White USB ports are usually USB1, Blue is USB3.
