Numerical keyboard does not work

Hello,
I have purchased a Logitech Wave Keys keyboard and use the bolt USB key to connect to Zorin OS 17.1 Core.
All works fine, except the numerical keyboard, which returns the arrow keys instead of the numbers.
After research, I have tried the following, regrettably without success:

  • pressing/holding the numlock key at different lengths of time and with all all possible combinations (shift, option, alt, ctrl);
  • in the settings / accessibility menu switching on/off the "mouse keys" (pointing and clicking section);
  • installing numlockx and adding it to "Startup Applications".
    Additional advice highly appreciated.
    Thank you.

That seems like a perfectly normal keyboard as far as I can tell. Under keyboard layout in Zorin, is it set correctly? Sometimes it can get set to something else, but it should mostly just be set to a standard 104 key keyboard (unless I'm looking at the wrong thing online lol).

Some keyboards/mouse come with software that are Windows or Mac exclusive, the majority of hardware makers don't care for Linux support, I don't know about this model, but I suspect of Logitech, the company that recently announced a subscription-only... mouse

Hi Hasefroch,
Thank you for your swift response. Logitech specifies that it's also for Linux (refering to Chrome OS I suspect). The mouse is from CSL (not Logitech) and works fine.

Hi applecheeks37,
Thank you for your swift response.
The keyboard layout is set correctly as the arrow keys work.
I just can't get to numlock mode.

Just out of curiosity, if you go to a keyboard testing website such as this:

Keyboard Tester - Check Your Keyboard Keys Online (keyboard-tester.com)

When you go through your keyboard, what happens when you attempt to hit the numlock key, anything? Additionally, while you're checking if you wouldn't mind checking if all your other keys register and make sure that when they register, they register what they're supposed to.

Hi applecheeks37,
Thank you for the additional advise.
I did the keyboard test as you suggested and you'll find the printscreen of the result in the link to the snipboard here: https://snipboard.io/i3y9Rl.jpg
In short, the keyboard works as expected (I have a Swiss-French layout). Pressing the numlock key results in "del" because that is its alternate function. Unlocking this key in order to toggle to the numerical keyboard just does not seem to work, in spite of undertaking the researched remedial actions described in my initial post.
Any other ideas how to toggle to the numerical layout?
Thanks.

Ok, what keyboard layout do you have currently selected? In addition, would you be able to post a photo of the keyboard? I just want to be sure that what I'm seeing online matches what keyboard you're actually trying to use.

Thank you for your continued interest and assistance. Please find attached a photo of my keyboard as requested.
My settings for the keyboard layout is correctly set at French (Switzerland).
