It is not being detected by the kernel, at all.
Aside from a physical cause (Which I will ignore for now, since you ahve replaced that card and confirmed its seating), please post the output of

lspci -nnk | grep -A3 -E "(VGA|3D)"

This is to check if the device is detected.

If it is, what happens if you try module probing it?

sudo modprobe amdgpu

lspci -nnk | grep -A3 -E "(VGA|3D)"

One more:

uname -r

6.16.0-061600-generic

i booted zorin 18 from usb and did lspci | grep -i vga and it only says intel

On the LiveUSB of Zorin OS 18, please run

uname -r

and see if it is on 6.8 or a later kernel like 6.14.

Remember, the 9060 did not get support until after the 6.12 kernel, so if the .iso of 18 is on 6.8...

i swiched out the pci-e cable to make sure and same thing so it wasant the cable

its 6.14.0-33 generic

By documentation, that card should be seen.
And you went to the shop - checked the cables.

I would double check them, anyway... Having done plenty of work on hardware side, I know these goofy little things can get missed...

Aside from that - are you able to try the latest 6.17 kernel?
You must be on Zorin OS 18, at least, for that later a kernel to even be effective, though.

i did check the cable cause i had an extra one and it didnt work. i jsut retried. no image still. i pluged it into vga 2. the extra cable is pmugged in rn. so no cable issue

how do i try the katest kernel on the live usb?

does this distro jsut not supported for this card? do i have to swich. https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/1lpfi8l/has_anyone_gotten_a_radeon_rx_9060_xt_working/

this guy did and he has the same card and it worked somewhere else. im always having issues with gpus at this point.

The card you chose was launched just June of this year.

So, you went from a card that was old enough that support was dropped, to a card that is so new, support is inbound.

But yes, other distro's may have support out of the box.
And if the interim Ubuntu 25 works - you can use Zorin Themes and other extensions on it, mostly.

whats that?

An interim release is a Short Term release.

Zorin OS is a Long Term Release (LTS).

so i can put this into the live usb?

Yes, you can test Ubuntu 25.04 as a LiveUSB, the same as Zorin.

I am hoping it will show your AMD GPU without further action needed. It is worth testing.

do i put it in the same usb or a different one?
