I vote for upgrading the kernel for testing before you leave Zorin. It is done in 10 minutes.
If you stop to sip coffee, stare out the window and watch a squirrel and glance at your watch several times.
Install a newer Kernel is the most directly Way before doing something else. If You might be afraid that Your system could be broke, save Your Data before doing and then start.
I re-installed Zorin 18, by removing the Zorin 17 OS, but the problem still persists that my graphics card is not recognized. I have installed the latest packages, but the kernel is still version 6.14 something.
I still have to do the steps described here.
I shall also try improving the kernel, as described by @Forpli and the linked guide around the Christmas days. I shall then also install Zorin on my laptop and see if I can start switching towards Linux.
In Zorin 18, are there still others steps to do check for errors with the NVidia not being recognized as a video card? In case you need information about my system once again, let me know.
Switching to Xorg would be a good Idea when using an Nvidia Card.
