Nvidia-SMI failed on Zorin OS 16

I have the same issue

NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.

Downgrade to 460 driver and restart did not solve the behavior.
Any other tips?

If you open Software & Updates, then navigate to the Additional Drivers tab, it should scan all drivers. What does that yield?

You can also run in terminal:

sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall

Lastly, you may need patched drivers
Are you using Zorin OS 16 or 15?
