Office EU open-source content collaboration platform

Very soon there will be Office EU - Europe's Open-Source Productivity Suite

Office EU is an open-source content collaboration platform, which means the code can be inspected and audited by anyone. In practice, it supports transparency and reduces vendor lock-in compared to closed platforms.

Office EU provides desktop sync clients for Windows, macOS and Linux, plus mobile apps, so files can follow you across devices. You can also use the web interface if you don't want to install anything.

Office EU is a complete cloud-based office suite (like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) that is 100% European-owned and runs entirely on European infrastructure.

Office EU includes all the essential productivity apps for documents, spreadsheets, presentations, file storage, email, calendars, and video meetings.

What I find strange is that a public administration is dealing with this subject when there are commercial offers for this in Europe.

As if the European Union is not aware of the IT market on its own continent.

Two examples come to mind:

As far as I understand it, EU Office is just another commercial platform, like the two you mentioned @merinos It is not an official tool of the European Union

So if it is commercial how expensive is it? Plus, now the UK is no longer part of the EU is it available to non-EU citizens/businesses?
