I somehow stopped new posts from showing, how do I get that back? OK will now go and stand in the naughty corner
Do you mean these buttons?
You can choose the default view in your account settings: Preferences -> Interface -> Default Home Page
Simple! thank you.
Is it a rhetorical question or ...
Yes the ''New'' Tab is gone. It annoys me, too. But You can stil find it. When You are in a Thread scroll down and You can find it at the Bottom:
First You see an Overview with new and unread Stuf and under this are the Links to the new and unread Stuff. In my Case it is now only 1 new (''1 neues''=> it is german).
That's awesome, thank you!
Mmm with "Latests" things are sorted based on recent activity, not necessarily newly created threads. "Unread" is for threads you haven't opened but is sorted by created date; new ones should appear at the top of the list.
Yes, exactly. Before the Forum Maintenance was a while ago I had on the Tabs a ''New'' Tab what shows me only the new created Threads. The Unread tab I had before, too and have it now. But not the New Tab; that it only get with the Link what is on the Screentshot. It is not a big Thing, but I find it in the Usage better.
Here is a workaround,
-
Create a Custom section
-
In Section Title put as you wish. In name put New and In the link field put: https://forum.zorin.com/new
-
Save it
It still won't appear in the tab list, you need to click the 3bars and select it from there to open it.
It was easier to just leave New .
Thank you? so I,m not so stupid!
Well, certainly not, everyone is smart in his own way and about his own interests, we certainly can't be smart about everything . Anyway, Hot isn't the best word to use here, firstly because I don't see the point of changing from New (which was already perfect and describing the category purpose) to Hot and then because even in Italian it can mean something else .
I have been working my mousewheel hard scrolling down Topics to get to bottom of the list of those I have not yet read. It is so annoying having to scroll down dozens of topics that have been read to get to those that have not been read. I have tried "Latest" and "Unread" settings but seems the same.
I (or maybe we all) can't read them all, I just ignore those in which I lack of knowledge to help . When kernel/compiling/dual boot/python keywords on posts,
