Optiscaler does not work on Zorin OS through Goverlay. After I paste the launch command into the Steam game settings and press Play, the game starts, but then crashes immediately. What could be causing this? Both Steam and Goverlay are installed through Flatpak. Thanks!
From other posts relating to Steam I have read on the forum here, it is often suggested to install the .deb version of Steam.
I have no knowledge of Optiscaler or Goverlay.

I would agree with @zabadabadoo and suggest to try the .deb Version if available. Steam offers one directly:
Goverlay is a bit different like I saw now. there is a .deb Version in the Repos available. So, You could install it simple with sudo apt install goverlay but on the github Page they recommend the Flatpak or AppImage Version.
So, my Suggestion would be to intsall Steam ans .deb File and then try if the Goverlay Flatpak or AppImage works with it. You can download the AppImage here:
