OS 16 pro install

I need some help. I am doing a fresh install of 16 pro. I am not ready to move to 17 yet, just coming over from windows. And after the install my system just hangs without ever loading. I know the iso was good. I didn't receive any errors when I flashed or installed. I used zorin way back, just playing around with the idea of moving from windows. Back then I had a similar issue and someone gave me the solution. It was some specific key combi action I had to hold down to get past this problem I thought, but I might be wrong. But anyway, I hope someone can help. I am literally stuck right now.

Ok, so I have an update. I was able to get to the recovery menu using the ESC key. After, I got in there, obviously not knowing what I am doing. I figured what the hell, I can't do anything else anyway, so I started to try to do some of the recovery steps in there. Then after continue normal boot. So I am currently in the system, but if I reboot it goes back to what it was doing before. How do I fix this?

It may that the new kernel doesn't play nice with your computer. Did you choose to boot in previous kernel so you boot normally?

EDIT: What's you video card brand?

Nvidia gtx 960. This computer is nothing new but still run great. I am not sure what you mean by boot in previous kernel.

I do know that Linux mint does run on my system, but I am just trying to go to zorin. But I might not have a choice but to use mint.

If you're in the desktop now, could you send a screen shot of your harddrive partitions? Either using gparted or Disks, just to make sure something weird isn't going on there.

Also are you dual booting or just Zorin stand alone?

Finally, by recovery menu, do you mean Zorin Grub? Or the BIOS menu for your motherboard? It could possibly be as simple as setting Zorin to be the default boot device for your computer.

If you're on Zorin 16, the newest kernel update I don't think would affect you there, although I could be wrong.

If you purchased Pro, even though it is 16, I would still think you are entitled to installation help from Team Zorin if you fill out a ticket request via this web page:

Zorin is stand alone. And it is in zorin not the motherboard. I am able to browse the internet and everything. Currently i.am not home, so screen shots are not possible.

I though the OP was on Z16 so 6.8 kernel is not valid.
Also just seen applecheeks37 made similar comment above.
