OS AI LibreChat - anybody using it?

It is promoted as the open source AI. Supports

Installation can be done via

  • Docker (everything in container)
  • npm (run directly with Node.js)

Which of the two works better with Zorin?

I only use Brave A.I. search engine via Mojeek if I can't get a definitive solution from main search results. I've never used chat gpt nor even intend to, even though it is embedded in SoftMaker Office.

As LibreChat can be used with Ollama open models and thus be on your own machine without connection to the cloud, I kind of guessed that somebody here might have used it already.
Just, curious what kind of experiences there are.

On rare occasions, I will use Libre Office, but I don't use anything AI chat related. Last time I tested an online AI chat tool, I wanted to punch it in the face for insulting me for no reason.

The only place I intentionally use AI, is in Adobe Lightroom, as it greatly aids me in editing photo's, better then I ever could in Photoshop, manually. Anybody who has ever used Adobe Photoshop from year 2000, knows the pain in manually removing a background. AI does it in a flash in Lightroom, total timesaver!

In any other application however, I don't use AI. Also, I don't think kids should be using AI to do their homework for them, just another reason to be against AI. But thats more of a parenting problem really, parents need to step up and parent their child, not the other way around lol.
