I have 6 hard drives on my computer. On one hd, os-prober sees 2 hd's. On 2nd hd, os-prober sees 3 hd's but doesn't see one that was listed on the firsthard drive. On a third hd, os-prober see's two hd's but not the first hd or the second hd and so on.. This fiasco is weird I know.
My question is there a way I can cut and copy all my boot loaders into one hard drive, run os-prober see all my hard drives then update-grub? I had entrys right on one hard drives grub file, but after I removed a hard drive to install zorin lite as my last hard drive, then all this trouble manifested itself. I hope this is making sense
Thank you in advance for all your suggestions.
I believe you can put all the boot loaders on one drive. When you removed a hard drive, it likely had a boot loader on it, and once you lost it, then the system croaks. You are likely going to need to run a boot repair, off your USB stick.
