I have the same warning whenever my date and time is wrong, an updates check starts and then I see that warning.

I don't know if the answer with the green tick, in the link below, will help you:

Can you please open a terminal and check the following:

sudo apt --fix-broken install

rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists/*

sudo apt clean && sudo apt autoclean && sudo apt autoremove

flatpak update

sudo apt update

No need to snap at me.

sudo snap update for any snap packages.

@Aravisian that was a little flat... but an apt attempt.

Did as you kindly suggested its still there after a reboot. Gawd knows what I've done. It appears in the red x box on the panel.

I do not think you have done anything to cause this.

I have noted that recently, multiple users have reported having some issues with archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_focal including inrelease and other sources. I do not know at this time if this is being caused by an errant package file or due to packet loss on the servers side.
I have noted this to several parties in order to ensure they are aware of the issue.

It may just be a passing thing with the server; high demand or other; Which would clear up without the user needing to take any additional action.

Thanks Aravisian for taking the time to explain this to me. Have to say it doesn't appear to be having any effect on anything so I'll just carry on as normal. If it does go away by itself I'll be sure to let you and forum know.

Thanks again

This is actually the first time I have ever made an explanation like that. I have seen a variety of issues that recur, but never before saw a package management error like this one.
