Packages "kept back". Cause for worry?

Entering sudo apt update returns 1 package needs updating. Then entering upgrade returns the following:

The following packages have been kept back:
  xdg-desktop-portal
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

Is this cause for worry? Do I need to do anything?

You just need to follow this guide I created:

Is the flatpak addition of screenshots for flatpak. It is unnecessary, unless you require this functionality.

Some have had issue with upgrading this package because it removed fuse and installs fuse3. This can cause an issue with dependentcies, resulting in failure to boot.

If you do not need this package, you can ignore it. It may be an eye sore to see it, but better that then breaking a stable os.

Thanks for the reply. I followed the instructions but it still appeared, but now a couple days later it's gone. Not sure if it's my doing or something else, but problem solved I guess :man_shrugging:

In that case I don't need it. It's gone now but if it happens next time I'll just ignore it. Thanks for the help.
