PDF to voice

I'm the greatest tyro regarding all this open-source world, so please, be patient hehe. I need an app that reads (out loud) me my PDFs (even the scanned ones). I'm using Zorin OS 15 Ultimate. Gespeaker and Espeaker only read TEXT docs. I want to avoid the converting part =( THANKS!

I have no experience in this, but perhaps this thread can help provide a workable solution:

It references these two packages in addition to Okular
https://www.howtoinstall.me/ubuntu/18-04/jovie/

https://www.howtoinstall.me/ubuntu/18-04/kmouth/

I am not sure how that sets up and works, but installation is a good starting point.

Convert the .pdf to .txt or use an OCR (Adobe PDF Reader) to copy and past the text manually into a document, then use an AI text to speech generator to convert the text into voice. Make sure to choose an AI that has a vast voice library and supports many languages with different accent options
