The first is probably forbidden letter/number/sign in its name. Try rename it.
The other steam error is that steam have changed path? Are you sure you installed the same Steam package?

I no longer have "Steam" installed and have no plans to do so, can I just delete them? thank you.

Yes, if you don't have steam installed, you can safely remove them.
