Pling (gnome-look kde-look etc.)

I may be taking down all my works from Pling. I made a polite suggestion and the responded arrogantly. It's unacceptable behavior when I'm there to put food on their table - at least be nice. :frowning:

Ah, okay. I see. Well, yes. A bit sloppy. Especially when I think about the Point that the other Desktops are seperated, too.

You already know about my departure from Pling; that not only did I pull all my work from Pling, but as a result; the owner got to feeling retaliatory and banned my account. Which... Is why I am unable to upvote your work.

In another thread; The members are discussing Firefox. Something else I stopped using long ago due to its abuses. And yet another thread about Protonmail.

People want to use a product so we tend to be very forgiving., Microsoft, Apple, iPhones, Google; Pick your poison. We forgive and forgive and forgive.
But the result of all that forgiveness is enabling. We enable those that provide the product to abuse and take advantage of us. From terms of service to data to reducing functionality... And defaults that give us the worst option.

We, as a people, really must learn how to be more assertive.
The very fact you raise Cosmic D.E. is part of that bigger picture: Cosmic exists as a resistance to us being pushed around by dominant parties. Plings resistance to recognizing Cosmic D.E. may be indicative of what their motives are.

I was thinking exactly the same thing... far too many companies that used to be great at something, or at least stand by something, are now turning inside out.

Since it was time for a change, I've already gone ahead and installed Devuan Daedalus  Not a massive change, but it was perhaps overdue.
