I have released version 1.10 of my Robot icon theme for Cosmic DE, including icons like Cosmic Tweaks app , and Cosmic Video Player.

Just testing Cosmic DE's new video player. It seems it can't play mp4 files, but other format it's working.

Because it is still the Alpha Version, I wouldn't expect too much Functionality only because something is available now. I think that will come until the final Release.
Can't wait for the final release. I really hope to see cosmic would be the standard and replacing gnome.

I have the latest standard Pop OS and the cosmic seperately but can't see much difference.

Interesting, the 24.04 alpha release is using Cosmic, the desktop environment is fully written in rust and created by system76 while the 22.04 is based on gnome and heavely modified by system76. Cosmic also comes with their own applications written by the system76 developers. Open the cosmic store and compare it with the store from 22.04, big difference.
Yes this screen is almost the same as Pop! OS 22.04
The settings are much better compared to 22.04, you can configure way more then you could in 22.04.
Yes there are settings and features missing, don't forget the 24.04 release is still in Alpha stage. So far it's running great on my 12-13 years old machine, 0 issues and i can do the things i want with it.

When it has a final Release, I will install it for testing. Replacing Gnome ... We will see, but I think, it could be a good Alternative.
To use Cosmic as Desktop for Zorin ... Because of the whole Work what the Zorin Team puts in all the Customization, in the Extensions, the Layouts and Zorin Appearance, it would be a very hard Cut. I mean, this all would be meaningless when they switch. All the Years of Development in this would be gone. But to be fair: that would be the Case with switching to every other Desktop Environment, too.
But I'm interest in another Release, too: Debian 13. I've read that they plan to bring it with the upcoming Gnome 48. So, when it is released, Debian stable would have an up-to-date Gnome Desktop - at least for a couple of Months. Would be an interesting Situation I would say.

The dock i put on top to show the standard customizations in pop os 24.04. This cannot be done stock in 22.04.
