PPA connection error for Windows App Support & apt upgrade

Newb here, just getting latest Zorin Lite 16.2 up and running. When I try to install Windows App Support, it fails with the following error:

Unable to install "Windows App Support" as download failed:
E: http://ppa.launchpad.net/zorinos/apps/ubuntu focal/main i386 wine32 i386 6.0.3~repack-1+zorin1 is not (yet) available (Could not connect to ppa.launchpad.net:80 (2620:2d:4000:1::3e), connection timed out Could not connect to ppa.launchpad.net:80 (185.125.190.52), connection timed out [IP: 2620:2d:4000:1::3e 80])

Also when I sudo apt update, I see this related error:

Err:11 http://ppa.launchpad.net/zorinos/patches/ubuntu focal InRelease
Could not connect to ppa.launchpad.net:80 (185.125.190.52). - connect (113: No route to host) Could not connect to ppa.launchpad.net:80 (2620:2d:4000:1::3e), connection timed out [IP: 2620:2d:4000:1::3e 80]

Unable to connect to ppa.launchpad.net:http: [IP: 2620:2d:4000:1::3e 80]

Same IP addresses.

a) Is there is a fix for this?
b) If not, what's the best way to get the best support for Windows apps working? ("Built-in" Windows support was a big part of my choosing to go with Zorin.)

Thanks in advance.

Has this error been ongoing?
If it timed out, that is server side. You cannot fix that from your computer.

Windows App Support: It happened a couple of times earlier today. Trying again now: "Installing...0%" for ages, but no error message yet. Cancel button greyed out. It's stuck: it won't install but I can't cancel it either.
Finally, something happening: "Windows App Support installed" but also an error:

Sorry, something went wrong.
The name :1.159 was not provided by any service files.

Good news: Windows Apps now in menu.

Re apt update, trying again now:

I and others have noticed this happening time to time lately.
It's not just Zorin...

Just in general, I keep noticing bogging and delays on Linux servers over-all.

I have no idea the cause; searching the issue yields nothing of course.

It may be due to more and more people just switching to Linux on the whole, after Microsoft changed over to strict requirements converting new computers to junk with Windows 11.

Often, trying again after a short wait seems to clear it up.

Yeah, hopefully just launchpad being temporarily bogged down.
Do you know if that " name :1.159" error is important?

That one is likely a separate issue:

Number 5

I suggest also running

flatpak update

What I mean is, is that an error message I can just ignore? Or will there be a problem using Wine/Windows apps unless I do one of those steps for 5? (To my inexpert mind they sound like very major steps. E.g. if I reinstall all gnome software, will I lose all the tweaks I've made so far?)

Re flatpak update "Looking for updates... Nothing to do."

Thanks for all your help.

I am not aware of any available tweaks to gnome-software.
Start with:

killall gnome-software

rm -rf ~/.cache/gnome-software

Launch Software store and test.

Generally, yes you can ignore it if you do not care about the particular package it is throwing the error for.

It is not unusual that merely rebooting the computer makes it go away, too.

This is a long standing bug with Gnome Software.

I just... never use the Software store.
Who knows how often it would have thrown that error my way and I do not know about it - nor is it a problem since I run my updates without calling on the Software Store application and so never have it error out.

@Aravisian, I carried out your terminal instructions, and the errors in the Software store ceased.
I also looked around the forum and elsewhere for Wine (and especially WeChat on Wine) tips and started another Wine install method but when I got issues (different kind) that way too, I decided to just go the most vanilla, ordinary way and only try anything different if that way failed to get WeChat running.
So I uninstalled everything Wine-related via Synaptic, reinstalled via the "Windows App Support" button in the Zorin menu (which worked without errors since those commands you gave me), and installed WeChat for Windows. And it works  so far at least  And it's integrated into the menu, making it easier for my mum to find.
In future, synaptic will probably be my first resort for installs, and the store only to find Flatpak & Snap installers for things not in synaptic.
Thanks.

This is unexpected and interesting...
I wonder if other users showing errors on Zorin WIndows App Support installs actually have the same issue.
