Printer extension giving errors, crashes gnome sometimes

Hi

For some reason when I print, my computer slows down to a crawl. It was not always the case, so I checked the logs and found a this showing multiple times during a print:
Object .Gjs_zorin-printers_zorinos_com_extension_PrintersManager (0x635cd1c9cd50), has been already disposed — impossible to access it. This might be caused by the object having been destroyed from C code using something such as destroy(), dispose(), or remove() vfuncs.

  • Package: gnome-shell-extension-zorin-printers version 21
    • Issue: Race condition in refresh() async function
    • Location:
      /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/zorin-printers@zorinos.com/extension.js
      lines 117-198
    • Trigger: Occurs during print jobs when CUPS signals arrive
    • Error: "Object .Gjs_zorin-printers_zorinos_com_extension_PrintersManager
      has been already disposed"

I changed the Thread-Category to General Help because this is a specific Help Request.

Because of Your Issue: What Printer (Brand/Model) do You have? And what exactly means ''my computer slows down to a crawl''? Isn't Your Machine responsive anymore? Freezes? Can You describe it a bit more in Detail?

Its' a Canon G2410, most times it freezes then continues ,then freezes etc until the print finishes. Today was the first time that it crashed Gnome completely.

Did You checked if Canon maybe offers Drivers for Your Printer?

Unfortunately there is no canon linux driver offered:

I wonder if the MG2500 linux driver would work:
Find it here: MG2500 series IJ Printer Driver Ver. 4.00 for Linux (debian Packagearchive)
