I have installed my printer but it prints symbols continuously.(epson l382)

Does this occur with all documents ? I have only seen this while printing copy written proprietary pdf documents.
Have you installed the ubuntu restricted extras package that has the microsoft true fonts with it? Check by typing
sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras
It will install the following packages
flashplugin-installer
icedtea6-plugin
ttf-mscorefonts-installer
unrar
libavcodec-extra-52
libmp4v2-0
gstreamer0.10-fmpeg
gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3
gstreamer0.10-pitfdll
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse
The exact package you want is the ttf-mscorefonts-installer but I find that mostly all packages are useful to help with unzipping files, playing audio and video on your system etc...

Did you install the drivers from here?:
http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/search/01/search/searchModule
Enter L382 in the model number to access the Linux drivers.
