Hello and thanks in advance to everyone, I'm having problems installing davinci resolve, I'm new to Linux in general and I'm relying on guides for almost everything, but when it comes to installing this program everything works fine except that when creating the .deb the terminal stays there and never advances, it doesn't give an error or anything else. Could someone help me? Thanks.

Building from source can take a while, especially for large programs, although there should be a ton of text flying by in the terminal. Without knowing what the script is doing, it's hard to know what to expect, and thus, what to recommend. Could you share a link to which guide are you following?
There's also a warning at the beginning discouraging the use of sudo, which you are using. This probably has no effect right now, but be very careful when copying and pasting commands from random strangers on the internet! And yes, that includes our overly friendly neighbor ChatGPT.

How much did you wait? When it happened to me I just waited and then it progressed. Your network speed and download size can explain why it takes much, too.
