Problem with bluetooth audio connection - Asus B650E-F

Hey,

I bought a new pc but I have a problem with my bluetooth connection on the Asus Rog Strix B650E-F motherboard. No bluetooth headset works properly.... There is a lot of crackling, interruptions and above all, when I move my head, the sound cuts out and comes back depending on the direction of the headphones towards the computer. I saw on Reddit that someone had the same problem as me, but the solution they came up with was to update their drivers on Windows. Do you have a solution for Zorin? (I'd also like to point out that I have the latest kernel (6.13.7)) but I've also tested the basic kernel and even installed Windows to test but I still have the same problem :/).

Thanks for your help

Please open a terminal and enter:

hciconfig -a

and post back the results please.

Did You tried it with a BIOS Update for the Motherboard? Did You checkted if in the ''Additional Drivers'' Tab is maybe a Driver offered? And have You tried Pulse Audio Volume Control? It is a Tool to set up Audio Input and Output. You can install it with sudo apt install pavucontrol

Of course, here is the hci0 output: Type: Primary Bus: USB

Yes, I've updated the bios, I've looked in the additional drivers but there's nothing, and I've also tested pavucontrol but it didn't do much

Hmm ... maybe Your Bluetooth is not compatible. When You tested it in Windows: did You update the Drivers there and did it worked?

The other Thing: Maybe Your Bluetooth is broken. You wrote that You bought a new PC. So, You should have Warranty. You could ask where You bought it or on the ASUS Support directly. Maybe they have an Idea or eventually Linux Drivers.

Alright guys, I beg you, insult me :sob:. Actually, the Bluetooth works perfectly fine, I must have been drunk when I installed my motherboard. There were antennas in the box to pick up the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and I forgot to put them on . Now it works, lol.

Thanks for your help

Well, if you are going to beg... I would not want to be so rude as to leave you hanging...

At least, it was a simple Way to fix it.

This thread reminds me of a training course I once attended, Motorcycle Instructors Training Conference 2 in Warwickshire. We were given a set of questions to work through. If I had read all the questions first, the last one stated "Only answer questions 1 and 2!".

Here is what i was going to post:
