Hello everyone. I installed zorin os 16 core yesterday. During the installation it found all drivers, but when i play some 4k video on youtube it's glitching (it's not playing smooth). I'm using chrome and microsoft edge. In Windows 10 it plays smooth, any glitches. And one more problem is when i visit to speedtest.net and start network test my laptop starts glitching, even mouse pointer doesn't move smooth. Please help. I like this linux distro, but i have these problems.
Intel Core i3 1005G1
256GB SSD NVMe
Screen Resolution: 1920x1080
Can you please post the output of
sudo lshw -c network
sudo lshw -c video
@Aravisian Yesterday I also faced mouse pointer glitch on Zorin OS but when I booted into windows OS to check my mouse it started working fine.
In your case, you may need an earlier kernel. Killer Wifi 1650i has notoriously been troublesome with Linux.
What is the output of
Kernel Install guide:
sudo apt install linux-headers-5.8.0-63-generic linux-modules-5.8.0-63-generic linux-modules-extra-5.8.0-63-generic linux-image-5.8.0-63-generic
sudo apt install linux-headers-5.4.0-81-generic linux-modules-5.4.0-81-generic linux-modules-extra-5.4.0-81-generic linux-image-5.4.0-81-generic
sudo apt install linux-headers-5.11.0-27-generic linux-modules-5.11.0-27-generic linux-modules-extra-5.11.0-27-generic linux-image-5.11.0-27-generic
If your trying to play 4k when your resolution is only 1080 that would be issue for glitch
Good point. I was focusing on that notoriously troublesome Killer Wifi...
