The French keyboard (in AZERTY or whatever French mode it uses) cannot type ù or ò correctly;
it types `u instead of ù (and the same applies to ò) when using Alt Gr + 7.
File search performance is poor because it doesn't search within file properties; for example, if I try to search for a Jimi Hendrix track, it doesn't find it, even though "Jimi Hendrix" is correctly listed in the properties.

Are you using the Wayland display protocol? You can check this at logon by selecting your user name and a cog appears lower right. Click on it and if the dot is to the left of Zorin desktop, click on Zorin desktop on xorg and login. See if there is any improvement.
In terms of search issue, pure guesswork on my part, perhaps it needs tweaking?

Essaye ceci dans un éditeur de texte CTRL+SHIFT+U (un u souligné apparaît) et saisie à côté le code 00F9 puis entré pour le ù et 00F2 pour le ò, pour moi ça marche partout
When You go to Settings>Search, You can add additional Serach Places:
Check if there all Places are enabled.
You could also try the search with nemo file manager. I sometimes had better search results with the Nemo file content search than with the Nautilus one.
Merci à tous pour vos idées qui ne m'ont pas permis d'améliorer la situation mais l'intention y était, c'est l'essentiel ! par miracle mon fils est passé me voir et m'a montré que sous la touche % il y a ù (que je n'avais jamais vu ! impec !) quant à Settings>Search tout est coché, ça ne change rien par contre en installant Clementine je peux regrouper tous les fichiers d'1 artiste et les supprimer si je veux ce que n'est pas capable de faire Strawberry; je note tout dans mon mémo que j'ai mis en ligne et peux vous servir; à + aoi
