Zorin OS 16 core installed on an older Toshiba laptop. I had trouble but finally got the laptop to access shared folders on a Windows 10 machine and could access Zorin OS shared folders on a different Windows 10 machine. Happily, I shut down the laptop for the night.
Today I turned the laptop on and I cannot access the Windows shares on it, nor can the Windows machine access the Zorin shares. I do not know what to do. I have already tried every solution I could find online and even added rules to the firewall. Please help.
Just to check you have installed CIFS, both machines are in the same Workgroup and you are using Public folder on each machine? From memory you access shared folders by entering machine name/IP address and user password to access shared public folder.
