Once done launch Synaptic & enter your password when asked. Then click search, and enter Epson in the box, & hit enter.
Highlighted in yellow is what you want. Make sure the box to the left is green as seen in my screenshot. If its clear instead, your driver is not installed.
If not, right click mark for installation. Then click "Apply" at the top of the screen.
Restart the computer after any driver installation, to insure the driver is loaded.
