Hello. It is my first trial to install zorin OS in my window laptop. (of course, I have used mac)
But while I'm using Zorin OS, I felt there is some BUG about CONCURRENCY. When I was downloading steam games, others process is blocked.
I wonder that it is a intented behavior of this OS for priority. Nowadays, parallel computing or concurrency is a critical topic with revolution of AI, etc.
So, please check this problems about concurrency and lock. Thanks for your attention. I will expect your feedback.
In your experience, while downloading Steam games, other processes appear blocked or unresponsive. This behavior is typically related to how the operating system manages process priorities, locking mechanisms, and resource allocation.
When I download games on Steam, the rest of my computer becomes slow. This happens, because I have Steam set to use MAX download speed, and to use high priority. I do this, because I want that game downloaded and installed ASAP. The longer it takes to get that done, the longer my computer cab't be used for much else.
While watching a YouTube video, I will be forced to drop it out of 4K, and use 1080P. I rather do that, and keep Steam using MAX performance, then to run Steam at low priority, then to have it running in economy low priority, and everything taking a day, like were back in the early 2000's again.
