I tried to update my system, but I always get the error message shown in image 01. I tried changing servers, and when the system tries to update the cache, the message in image 02 appears.
My internet is working normally as I performed tests; moreover, if the internet wasn't working, I wouldn't be able to post this message. To further confirm, I logged into Linux Mint and was able to perform all updates without any problems. Therefore, I conclude there must be some problem with Zorin.
Can anyone help me?
In your screenshot, you can see that you added a Cloudflare Repository, but not the public key for it.
Are you one Zorin OS 17 or 18?
Thank you.
I've already solved it.
I was trying to disable Cloudflare Warm, but for some reason the key remained. I redid the process and it worked.
If it's relevant, I can post the commands used.
I also noticed in your script that you are using your country server. It takes time for newer updates to reach country locale servers. May I respectfully suggest you change your source in Software Updater to Main Server.
Hello!
When I installed Zorin, the system itself selected the Brazilian server. And since then I haven't changed it because I concluded that it would be the best option. Yesterday, when the problem arose, I thought it might be due to the server temporarily having some problem, because as I said, the internet was working normally. But after that, I could only select a specific server and didn't have the option for the Brazilian server, at least I didn't find it. I also thought that selecting a Brazilian server would provide faster access. However, I followed your suggestion and selected the main server and I will monitor the result.
Thank you
Hello,
As I mentioned above, I configured it for the main server. But I have a question, what exactly is this main server? Is there a tutorial on this subject?
"Main Server," is the Zorin software repository, that Zorin OS pulls updates from, and installs packages. It is the most up to date, and has everything needed, for Zorin OS.
The Main server is the primary server that all the regional servers (mirrors in France, Brazil, India, etc) sync with.
The Main Server is hosted by Canonical and directly maintained by Canonical.
Mirror servers do not receive the hosted packages directly from Canonical. Instead, they must refresh and sync with the main server in order to get the packages and updates.
