Question about power settings

Hi,

I use Zorin OS 17.2 with GNOME and I have a question to the power settings.
Is it possible to set up a configuration like that?

  • If the AC power cord is not plugged in => Power mode “Balanced”
  • If the AC power cord is not plugged in + Battery level is 30 % or lower => Power mode “Power Saver”
  • If the AC power cord is plugged in => Power mode “Maximum performance”
  • Device is charging: To protect the battery, only charge up to 85 %

I have not found any “advanced settings” in the settings.
So, is this possible? Maybe I need additional software or a script?

Thank you for your suggestions!

For at least the first few points, there's this extension that would allow you to adjust those values as you would deem fit (yes there's other ways to do this, but this is a pretty straightforward way):
Power Profile Switcher - GNOME Shell Extensions

As for limiting battery charging, you could take a look at this extension here as well:
Battery Health Charging - GNOME Shell Extensions

A note: I have not tested these extensions, but it seems like they should do exactly what you're looking for, in a fairly straightforward way. Let us know if anything else comes up that you might need.
