When will Zorin release an update based on Ubuntu 26?

“Old” - in my opinion, it's a matter of perspective; the Z18 is currently running kernel 6.17.0-35.
It depends on what the user needs: stability or the latest developments.

well if you would like you can install the Liquorix kernel its very close to what ubuntu 26.04 is using.
I use it on my desktop with no problems at all

How long have you been using computers?
On almost all operating systems, including Windows OS, most layers are decades old, with base systems being around seven to ten years old. Most software ranges from two to over a decade in 'age'.
Yet, in GnuLinux, users do this strange about-face and think a year is... Old.
That's not how it works.
And the health of a project is not determined by how 'fresh' off the presses it is.

I've had a computer for 11–12 years now, and I just know that with Linux, most distributions release minor updates every 1–2 months
Zorin OS does this, as well.
The statement seems to be that Zorin OS is not cutting edge.

If you will notice in the above post Mine says Zorin OS 18.1 not 18 this tells me that zorin has updated to version 18.1 from 18 so it does get updated
You get the latest security updates and even the "normal" Ubuntu 24 LTS User get the offer to upgrade to 26 in October with the first .1 release.
