Raising awareness of data privacy. belfast to cork run?

My name is Daz. I wish to run Belfast to Cork to raise awreness of data privacy on the island. I need your help! i'm an avid runner. An avid data privacy campaigner. And i love FOSS.

I'd like to help people understand that this really is an issue of national importance. I'd love to get feedback from Zorin'ers since this Linux distro would be a key part of the solution.

Situation: US tech is the number 1 threat to Irish national security imo
Objective: sound the alarm and raise awareness of data privacy issues
Strategy: vlog my training regime and run from belfast to cork
Tactics: use social media and vlogging to teach people about these dangers
Action: i'm pushing 50 years of age, i ran 60 miles this week
Control: a team of digital marketers and techies functioning as PR to get the word out

I need help with everything, tech, digital marketing, spreading awareness, or even just moral support.

I'll post my Signal group link if anyone wishes to join..?

I wish you well, but if you want to promote privacy, then you have to lose Social Media in all its forms, because there is more to life than being a data stream to be sold to the highest bidder.

Meta (who owns Facebook, WhatsApp and other nefarious platforms) is the main source of the attacks on Privacy by lobbying for the introduction of anti-Privacy Laws and Age Verification.

What you need to promote is, there is absolutely no need for such ill-thought out legislature but education of non IT-savvy users and for parents to take back control by implementing OpenDNS at the router/modem level where they can block access to sites, including Social Media at the source of so many ills in society.

(In Clapham in London, blaclavaclad youths have been in touch with each other using WhatsApp to meet up and raid shops.)

In terms of mobile phone usage, developing brains need to stay clear of brick phones until they are at high/secondary school, and any parent wanting to buy a smartphone for older teenagers should still protect them by buying a Fairphone from Murena that runs /e/OS 3.0 or above.

Additionally, run any GNU/Linux that offers MalConent, the 'Parental Control' app used in Zorin which prevents access to the Internet period on a shared computer.

That is quite a marathon.
Stay hydrated and keep up the good work.

Have fun! I wish you the best!
(Also, when are you going to do it?)
