What exactly does this mean in the keyboard settings options?
Level 1 is just the basic output of a key without any modification.
Level 2 is using a modifier, like shift key. So shift plus the key creating a capital version of that letter would be level 2.
Level 3 is using a modifier to create a Special Character output of a key. Neither capital of that letter, nor that letter. Accent marked characters are the common ones.
Level 4 is that special character, including shift to capitalize that character.
Level 5 is a user defined output for a key - completely set by the user.
