Realtek ALC889 not found on new install of 16.2

Hi
Just spun up latest Zorin 16.2 in a VM on Proxmox and found no sound.
I have been trough the whole of the tips on the website but nothing works.
It is not finding the sound card driver which i know works because if i connect using Manjero or Fedora i have sound.
My audio is

  1. Realtek ALC889 codec
  2. High Definition Audio
  3. 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
  4. To configure 7.1-channel audio, you have to use an HD front panel audio module and enable the multi-channel audio feature through the audio driver.
  5. Support for S/PDIF Out

Motherboard is GA-Z68AP-D3 (rev. 1.0)

Any ideas please on how to get it discovered.
I have tried PulseAudio but still nothing!

Or is it a Proxmox passthrough issue?
