Hi to all. Does anyone have any suggestions for a simple, no-frills AI app that I can use for questions and answers? Just literally questions and answers. No fancy image generation or whatever needed. Thanks in advance.
LM Studio is pretty easy. Bear in mind you're also going to need to download a (potentially very large) LLM to run locally, and good LLMs need serious processing power. The largest LLM I've tried is pretty slow even leveraging my 4090 and 16 core processor. If you don't mean to run it locally... well, I don't have recommendations for that; I don't do online AI.
Online is what I'd prefer. Think Duck.AI (for example), but in a .DEB file or whatever that connects online and just comes up when I need to ask a question and get a reply. Thanks, though.
Yeah, sorry, got nothin' there. I think Brave AI is the popular one around here, though I'm not aware of it having an app.
I use Alpaca with Llama 3.2. Alpaca can be downloaded from the software center and Llama model can be downloaded within Alpaca.
I remove all search engines after installing Mojeek (except Wikipedia) and make that my default. If you can't get the uncensored answer you are looking for it provides alternative search engines, Brave A.I. being my preferred search engine. Because mojeek does this you don't need Brave browser for it to work.
In my opinion, the best one that I have tried is GPT4ALL. If you want an online one the best is Duck AI but GPT4ALL is if you just want to run, it on your computer. It should work with Zorin 17 but for Zorin 16 I don't think so.
