Recording From Sound Card

I'm new to Zorin 17.3. Eight years ago, when I was using Ubuntu 16, I had an app, "Audio Recorder," which allowed me to record streaming Internet radio directly from the sound card to a file. This app is still available, but is outdated and does not work. The other topic question on this subject on this Forum was closed four years ago in 2021, so, not current. Are there any apps out there which can do this? I looked, but couldn't find any. (As an aside, current and former Mac users may remember many years ago there was an app for Mac called "Wiretap" which was elegant, powerful and user-friendly.)

I am not sure but you could take a look at "audacity". Install also pavucontrol on your system:
"sudo apt install pavucontrol"

To install it you can enter
"sudo apt install audacity" or download the appimage for linux from the homepage (with the appimage you get the latest version):

Another possibility is to add an inofficial ppa to recieve the latest version
(ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/audacity).

The official ppa of audio recorder is no longer maintained and you wrote that it doesn't work although it is supported on ubuntu 22.04.
You could try it instead with adding this ppa for audio recorder:

"sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/audio-recorder"
"sudo apt update"

If you use Shortwave Radio app. It allows you to save the music of the radio streaming.
