I would like to request a refund. my games do not launch/can not access systems for work.
Have you installed steam with steam installer?
If you want to use Windows Games you have to enable this function:
- Open Steam and click on the “Steam” menu in the top-left corner of the window → “Settings” → “Steam Play”.
- In the “Advanced” section, click the checkbox titled “Enable Steam Play for all other titles” and press “OK”.
Perhaps you have installed the flatpak package. Then first remove this. Or if you want to use the flatpak version install flatseal and set the permissions for the access to your users/system files.
Hi and welcome. For a refund you would need to contact Team Zorin via email quoting your purchase key.
In terms of your issues, how are you launching your games? If you are relying on WINE not all games will work with WINE/PlayOnLinux/winetricks/q4wine. You need to consider other methods, primarily Steam, Proton and Lutris.
In terms of accessing work I had an issue that I solved myself whilst working from home. If access to work is via a private web page you can access work folders using Remmina remote. When you login with Edge on a Windows system and login to your works portal, there is usually a small .exe file that has to be downloaded and run. You can point Remmina to this .exe and for me this meant I could login to the works shared folder on the server, and my z:\ drive (my Windows desktop). Additionally, this saved me from having to use a VM of Windows 8.1 Pro with Edge that required me to login 3 times with one login warning of an outdated certificate on the server. With Remmina I only had to login once.
In terms of Office suite compatibility, sadly LibreOffice still cannot properly display MS Office documents correctly and MS Office does not show LibreOffice Writer documents correctly that have been saved as .docx files. This is down to Microsoft, not LibreOffice. I do recommend SoftMaker Office 2024 Professional, and if you can't afford it they provide FreeOffice which is also compatible with MS Office. The only application that cannot match MS Office in respect of particular functions are the spreadsheet apps, both in LibreOffice Calc and SoftMaker's PlanMaker.
