when I am running my browser certain time system stop responding what to do now
Switch to Xorg. Logout and at login click on your username, then a cog wheal appears at the bottom right corner. There select "Zorin Desktop on Xorg".
You could also disable hardware acceleration in your browser settings to see if it solves your problem.
i am using x11 system or how to switch to Xorg
X11 is the same as XOrg.
so what to do know
Disable the hardware acceleration in your browser.
What are your computer specs? How much RAM do you have? What graphics do you use?
Are secure boot and fast boot in your BIOS disabled and if you have a Dualboot with Windows is also fast startup at energy settings disabled there?
Worst case scenario - depending on your specs like what @Forpli asked about, you might have to change the kernel using a tool like Mainline. But let's hold off on that for now. Please come back with answers to Forpli's questions (including about Secure Boot, etc.), and you can go from there. Thanks. EDIT: I have a question of my own - what browser do you use? That will help to know.
As an Addition to @Forpli's suggestion with disabling Hardware Acceleration:
If you shouldn't be able to make that in the Browser Settings because the Browser freezes too fast, You can start it over the Terminal.
For Brave:
brave-browser --disable-gpu
For Firefox:
firefox --disable-gpu
It is hp victus laptop with 8gb ram & and Ryzen 5600 and work only with zorinOS and not in secure mode as well
Interesting. Your laptop should work with Zorin 18 OS. It's a good one.
Try disabling hardware acceleration in your browser, as Forpli suggested.
but in update application, it is not going, it is showing to zorinOS 17.3 only, nothing more
I use both chrome and brave both i found the same issues 1-2 days, it get hang 1 time atleast
Launch Brave or Chrome in a terminal CTRL ALT T
Browse away till the freeze happens, then look at the terminal code for recent errors in the code, if found, please post them here, might help figuring out what the issue is.
Also, you haven't stated that you have disabled hardware acceleration yet, you really need to get that done please.
brave-browser --disable-gpu
opening in another session --> it is showing this line
Also I want to know how get those error logs because at that time my mouse and keyboard does not work
