Hi everyone,
I've read a lot about configuring superkeys, but still haven't found anywhere how I can reconfigure the shortcut from Superkey+D to Superkey+M.
Is that even possible?
Hi everyone,

There is a discussion re key mapping that may help you here: How to map a broken key to a replacement?
ok - thanks!
I thought there was a way to solve the problem without an additional tool...
I don't understand why you can't do this directly in the settings under Keyboard Shortcuts.
i'm on LIte ,in my keyboard settings there is no super+D shortcut .
have you tried adding a key in keyboard settings?
No, unfortunately it can only be achieved with the ‘input-remapper’ tool.
i meant instead of remapping ,why don't just add another shortcut key?
where do you want super+D to point to ?
super+M is for mail reader by default
I just want the same shortcuts as in Windows, makes everything a bit easier.
Settings > Keyboard > View and Customize Shortcuts > choose or search the shortcut to remap > click it > hold Super and M > Set. Or you tried but didn't work?
Super+D is unfortunately not available.
@centurion, please take a look at this other thread.
The reason why this re-mapping is complicated is the same, and so is the solution. However, in this instance, overriding this shortcut has is slightly more involved.
you need to re-map an existing shortcut that normally displays the notification list. You can actually do this from Settings -> Keyboard -> View And Customize Shortcuts -> System -> Show the notification list. Double click on it, and press Backspace to remove the shortcut entirely.
Following the instructions from the thread I linked above, you should have dconf-editor
already installed. Then, navigate to org -> gnome -> desktop -> wm -> keybindings -> show-desktop, uncheck the "Use default value" setting and update the field below with the shortcuts you want.
As you can see in this screenshot I'm adding a new shortcut in addition to the ones that already exist. You can delete the rest or add whichever ones you want, but pay attention to the syntax as it needs to match exactly.
Enjoy!
Oh, alright, now I understood what you meant, I see that Super + D shows the desktop, and is actually unavailable in View and Customize Shortcuts. But while I was testing it I could disable this default shortcut by setting Super + D to another action, once done I cleared the same shortcut and when I tried it again it didn't work anymore.
