I just installed zorin18 on my acer x3990, everything went well. However, I only have 800x600 in resolution. I found help (apolycious, storm etc.) but the xandr commands did not install the 1920x1080 resolution.
some help would be very useful to me
To use xrandr you should switch to Xorg. If you use Zorin lite you already use Xorg, but if you have Zorin core, there is Wayland the default one. To switch to Xorg, logout and at login click on your username then a cog wheal appears at the bottom right corner. There select "Zorin Desktop on Xorg".
What graphics card do you have?
Are fast boot and secure boot in your BIOS disabled?
If you use Dualboot with Windows, is fast startup at energy settings of Windows disabled?

fast and secure boot are not disabled my video card is Nvidia g210 and i haven't dual boot

What Driver do You use for the Card. I saw that only the 340 Driver would support it. Do You use the built-in Nouveau Drivers?
