SD card reader disappears after suspend/wakeup

Zorin OS 18 on Macbook Air 2013 i5, 4gb ram has an issue that after suspend and wake sd card reader just disappears. Only way to see and use it is to shut down or restart the computer. Searched the internet for a solution for couple hours already and no luck. Not seeing any errors either device is just gone.

Does this happen with automatic Suspend or when You go manually in Suspend Mode?

Automatic and when I close the laptop. I have noticed that it takes a couple seconds for the system to wake up and the screen kinda blinks everything in place right after. Like taskbar is not immediately in the right place and icons. Maybe not related but still weird. I am using X11 now because with Wayland laptop would take up to 20 seconds to wake up.

OK, this sounds like power saving features, are putting your notebook components to sleep.

Click on Zorin :zorin: logo bottom of screen, click on settings. :gear: click on POWER in the list, disable the power saving features like suspend please.

Additionally, on OS 18, you will have another section I don't have, to set a permanent power setting, please choose high performance, not balanced or power save.

Also, click on Zorin :zorin: logo bottom of screen, type Dconf. Launch it please. Now go to this section as seen in my screenshot, and set both of those to blank. We want to stop the computer from entering any sort of suspended state, that kills power to everything, making Linux glitch like a bad episode of the X-Files, where you're pretty sure a kernel panic is just a government conspiracy and the truth is out there, but you can't grep it.

Did not work. Still experiencing same issue even after changing between X11 and Wayland.

Is the sd card reader available when you go manually into suspend by pressing the button in start menu? This method often solves problems with waking up after suspend.

Nope. Stops working even after manually entering suspend.
