Secure boot... is it needed or not?

Hey everyone... so had a search and seems to be a yes and no... ive managed to get my NVIDIA working with secure boot by changing to the open kernal driver...

now... is secure boot needed? does it do anything with zorin... or is it jsut there as alot of people will have it enabled with ex windows?

Secure Boot is or it should be a Security Mechanism. It starts signed Programs or Firmware before the actual OS. The Thing is: It is (primary) signed from Microsoft because it is ''made for Windows'' if You want so. It should prevent to run ''bad Software'' (bad Software=unsigned Software).

And Kernels and/or Linux Firmware and Drivers can be unsinged. So, it can make Issues to have Secure Boot enabled.
