Setting a Flatpak browser as default in Zorin

I downloaded Floorp browser in the Zorin software centre, which was only available as a Flatpak, that's my first gripe as the files are huge, and I don't have lots of available space but the other issue is I found it extremely difficult to set Floorp as the default browser, the default application showed Brave as default with no other option so I had to run xdg-settings set default-web-browser org.floorp.Browser.desktop in a terminal, but even then it didn't work first time as I had to create the .desktop file in .local/share/application.
I thought the whole idea of flatpaks was that they contain everything required to work, it should not be this difficult, shouldn't the developers be making sure this sort of thing doesn't happen, with lots of people coming to Linux from Windows after the end of Windows 10, this sort of thing may put people off and enforce the view that Linux is hard to use.

If you prefer native .deb packages you can use this guide from ubuntuhandbook.org (choose option 1 here to install the floorp apt repository):

To add that to @Forpli's Comment. Here are the Instructions for the Floorp Repo directly from the Floorp Website:

Because of the default Browser: Did You take a Look in the Browser Settings to set up floorp as the default Browser? On Firefox directly, You have that Option.

Hi, yes I did but I can't find an option in Floorp settings for this.

Thank you for the link, I will take a look at this.

I have managed to set Floorp as default as i said in my original post, the point I was making is if Linux developers want to attract users coming over from Windows, stuff like this will scare off a lot of people as Windows users are much more used to clicking something and seeing it work (hopefully), but what many of them won't want to be doing is having to type lots of complicated looking codes into a terminal. I understand all the arguments like Linux isn't Windows and stuff like that, but with Microsoft making it difficult for people to upgrade to Windows 11, this is a good oportunity to let people know Linux isn't as difficult as some think, things like this don't help. I'm very happy to be using Linux and will never go back to Windows, but I also want my system to be as easy to use as possible & I know I won't be alone in that.
