Severe framerate issues-- GTX 4060

Good morning!

I decided to swap from Windows to Zorin OS. The website claims games and other softwares can run faster, but I've found the complete opposite to be true. While webpages and softwares launch quickly, framerates in games are abysmal.

For example- Minecraft would usually run at 200 FPS, now running at 30 with optimization mods installed. Roblox (on Sober) would run at ~300, now runs at 12 on lowest graphics settings. Blender runs around 20 fps, and lags a ton. OBS seems to run okay.

I've struggled in a previous forum with a few issues. I was recommended to install 545, and I tried several different drivers. All still present the same problems (but my monitor no longer freezes, yay!)

I am currently running on 560.35, as I tried to test the latest release, to no better results. Am I missing anything?

Thank you!

What Kernel are You using?
Are You running Your System in Xorg? That would be better for Nvidia.
Are Your Games running natively on Linux or do they run with Wine, Bottles or whatever? And when You run it with this: Are these the Flatpak Versions or the .deb Versions?

After running uname -a:
Linux StrikePC 6.8.0-40-generic #40~22.04.3-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Tue Jul 30 17:30:19 UTC 2 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I am running it in Xorg.

I use Sober to play Roblox, which is Flatpak. The same goes for steam and Modrinth (Minecraft)-- also flatpak. I got these all from the official "software" store in Zorin.

I also just attempted to render an animation in Mineimator, which this version is built specifically for linux, and it runs at 11 FPS and would take 3 hours to render a 10 second animation.

The Flatpak's, okay. Did You tried it with the .deb version? If they should have a .deb Version. At least Steam has one I saw.

What you could try, too is change the Driver to 550. And use the 6.5 Kernel would be worth a Try, too. I mean, if You not already should have done.

No harm in trying again, I'll update when I get some results. Thank you!

Well, I finally got 6.5 kernel running.... and now my second monitor doesn't work. Furthermore, I launched a game just for fun, and it still runs awful. Any other suggestions?

Do You still use the 560 Driver? Maybe a Combination of 6.5 Kernel and 550 Driver would be worth a try - if You not already tried that. 6.8 and 550 should work on Xorg, too. But I guess You already tried that Combination.
