Shortcut key for screenshot not working

Pressing “Print Screen” or in my case “Prt Sc” does not work for me, so I have to go the long way around.

:disappointed:

You may want to look at a couple of alternatives, Shutter or Spectacle (the latter was written for KDE Plasma desktop so not sure if it would work on Zorin unless you installed KDE or LXQt.
Shutter:

Spectacle:

Shutter was used primarily in producing the Unofficial Manual. I also used it for creating a guide to using Inkscape as a method of producing accessible images to print-disabled users as it captures multiple cascade menus.

Are you using Zorin Lite (XFCE Desktop)?
You may need to just check your keyboard shortcuts and ensure that shortcut is present.

No, Core 15.2, but thanks for your help.

In that case, it is gnome-screenshot you need to check:

Thanks, Aravisian.

During the process of following the guide in the link you supplied, I found a much simpler way that is already built into the OS. I’m embarrassed to say that I didn’t look too closely at the “Settings” panel the first time.

The enclosed screenshot will explain better. Just one tap of the “Prt Sc” key - also called “Insert” on my keyboard - and it works great !
