Oof, my sympathy on the sleep issues. I've been there; it makes everything miserable, even when things aren't going wrong. You can use other tools to manage your backups if you like; I just don't recommend Windows backup because frankly it's garbage, and do recommend backup tools that you can boot straight into because they, in my experience, do a better job with whole disk backup, which you need for restoring an OS easily. Good luck, both with sleep and with backups.

Yeah, Windows Backup is ■■■■. I use whole system image backups with Macrium Reflex, Ashampoo Backup and EaseUS Backup. You can restore everything, individual disks or partitions or individual files
