Should i be concerned

hello, so i recently put zorin os 18 core on an macbook air. i new to this linux stuff. not sure what to do from here. any help would be cool. i couldnt really find an answer. not sure if i was searching properly.

No, nothing is concerning there.

Secure boot is disabled, which we often recommend anyway - and since it is, the Secure Boot Audit cannot verify the chain on the Kernel, since... Secure Boot is off.

cool thx.

Secure boot is generally a good idea for security. The one on the left is extremely hard to satisfy without very specific hardware and BIOS settings that most PCs don't have, more aimed towards corporate PCs specialty built for Linux. But especially when you're new, going without secure boot will create less issues. Once you're accustomed a bit and especially if you're big on security, try re-enabling it. May require a reinstall with secure boot on if you want to do it the easy way, but I also made this script back on Mint (also Ubuntu based) that should also be able to set it up post-install. You may have to clear the secure boot keys in the BIOS (put secure boot into setup mode) before using this one. It's been a while since I used it. If it doesn't work, no biggie, you could just turn secure boot back off and restore the factory keys from the BIOS.

okay, thanks. ill do some reading on this. so much to learn.

Yeah, take it slow, lol. It was a lot for me too at first. Just focus on having fun with it at first, the odds of anyone targeting you with malware in general, let alone malware advanced enough to target early boot processes is extremely low. Most people making malicious code that advanced on Linux are well funded and usually targeting corporate servers, far too intelligent to waste an rare exploit on every day people.
