Small announcement for fellow Zorin OS users

Hi to everyone. This is a small announcement to fellow Zorin OS users (in case if you haven't heard or seen). The Caffeine extension is being actively maintained again, and has been updated big time to support more "modern" options. Before, I'd been using the Espresso extension to stop my monitor from going dark on me while I was gaming, but after I found that the maintainer stopped updating Espresso, I checked to see what was going on with Caffeine (on a hunch), and much to my delight, it was being updated again. I downloaded it, installed it, and gave it a whirl. Works great, and supports GNOME 47. Seems to be under active development once again. Excellent. This is what I hope to see in Zorin OS 18; improved power management settings. If the Zorin Group can take an extension and incorporate it into Zorin OS (as they have with multiple other extensions), they can either take Caffeine and do the same with it in Zorin OS 18, or even develop their own internal extension with similar functionality (so to bring Zorin OS up to similar functional parity with Windows, which would bolster Zorin's claim of being an alternative to Windows). That would be a killer feature. And that's what the Zorin Group needs to keep looking at; which extensions to add (or develop?) to expand Zorin OS' range of functions to make it a more effective and "set-it-and-forget-it" OS. That, in my opinion, would help set it apart from most other Linux OSes. Anyway, now you know (for those who this announcement helps). Thanks.

Thats awesome, glad the Caffeine project got revitalized again. Thanks for sharing!

I personally set Zorin to never blank the screen in the power options. This is because I am instead using the available power options, which are much better BTW, in XScreenSavers.

PS: I am a coffee drinker, so I most certainly am getting my daily dose of caffeine lol.
