From what i have read, this seems to be a bug in 18.04 that was fixed in Ubuntu 20.04. Zorin 16 is based on Ubuntu 20.04.

Well, that’s better on a few accounts:

  1. This isn’t specifically a Zorin issue (I’m a big fan, despite this irritation)
  2. The next version of Zorin fixes it (see #1)
